Sameh Hammad is a practitioner and expert in international trade and industrial development, currently heading the industrial clusters component of the Special Initiative “Decent Work for a Just Transition” in the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH – Egypt office, across his career he gained diversified hands-on experiences from working in international organizations, corporates, consultancy houses, and developmental projects in Egypt, Middle East, and Africa. Mr. Hammad published a book chapter “Industrial Clusters: Ambassadors for regional development” in the book “Industry Clusters and Innovation in the Arab World: Challenges and Opportunities” by Emerald in 2023. Recently, he finalized the dissertation of his DBA degree from Alexandria University under the title “Egyptian Enterprises Exporting ICT Services: Their Virtual Connection to Local and International Industrial Clusters Using Emerging Digital Technologies”.
