Rasha Istaiteyeh

Prof. Dr. Rasha Istaiteyeh is a Professor of Economics at The Hashemite University, Jordan, a Fulbright Alumna (2024–2025) at the Center for Social Development, Washington University in St. Louis, and an Affiliate Researcher at the Institute for the Study of International Migration (ISIM), Georgetown University. Her research focuses on economic development, gender and women's empowerment, labour markets, migration and displacement, refugee self-reliance, financial inclusion, and innovative social policies. She has led and contributed to numerous national and international research projects and has published extensively on development challenges in Jordan and the MENA region. Through her teaching, research, and community engagement, she promotes evidence-based approaches that advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to quality education, gender equality, decent work, reduced inequalities, and sustainable development.
