Asst. Prof. Ümit Acar is a faculty member in the Department of Public Finance at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. He completed his undergraduate studies in public finance at Ankara University and received both his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. His research focuses on the socioeconomic effects of public revenues and expenditures, with a particular interest in how fiscal policy shapes regional development, inequality, and welfare outcomes.
