Ali Elguellab is a Senior Researcher and Economist at the Laboratory of Industrial Economics and Emergence of Africa (EIEA), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Morocco. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Mohammed V University in Rabat, where he earned highest honors for his dissertation on the macroeconomic, granular, and mesoeconomic origins of Morocco’s business cycle. Before joining UM6P, he served as Senior Economist at the High Commission for Planning (HCP) and lectured in economics and econometrics at the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA-Rabat). He regularly collaborates with international institutions such as the IMF, the World Bank, and the Policy Center for the New South. His research focuses on industrial economics, macroeconomic dynamics, sectoral granularity, production networks, and input–output modeling in developing economies. He has published in indexed journals and serves as a reviewer for several international publications.
