Lylia Sami
Professor, Higher School of Management and Digital Economy, Algeria
Lylia Sami is a Professor at the Higher School of Management and Digital Economy (ESGEN). She earned her Ph.D. in Statistics and Applied Economics in 2014 from the National School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ENSSEA, Algeria). She is also an associate researcher at the Research Center in Applied Economic for Development (CREAD) in Algeria. Her research focuses on the economics of growth and institutions, with a particular emphasis on rentier countries, the impact of institutions on unemployment dynamics, and informality. She has made significant contributions to multiple research projects exploring institutional roles, including ICT, where she notably contributed to a study on distance learning experiences in Algerian higher education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, she actively participates in international scientific conferences and gatherings.
