Cristina Bodea

Cristina Bodea is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University. She has a PhD degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester (2006) and was a post-doctoral fellow at Princeton University. She has also worked for the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany, and the World Bank. Her interests include reputation building in exchange rate policy, central bank independence and government spending, the fiscal policy of developing countries, as well as civil war, coups, and low intensity violence as alternative manifestations of domestic conflict. She is an editor for the British Journal of Political Science. Her work has been published in the Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, International Organization, European Journal of Political Economy, Public Choice, and Economics and Politics.
