Ahmed Zakane
General Director, National Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics
Ahmed Zakane, PhD. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics. He is a full professor and the general director of the National Higher School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ENSSEA) in Algeria since 2005, where he teaches Econometrics and the Theory of Economic growth. Professor Zakane is the founder of the LEQAD laboratory where he leads a research team on the economics of growth and the theory of the cycles. He is the author of several articles scientific and research work published in: the Cahiers du CREAD (The Research Center in Applied Economics for Development), Journal of Statistics and Applied Economics, Journal of Commercial Sciences and Management. Professor Zakane, has directed more than 20 doctoral theses in statistics and applied economics at ENSSEA and the faculty of Economics in the University of Algiers. His current research focuses on institutions and economic growth, Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models (DSGE) and Applied Machine Learning in Econometrics.
