Rasha Hassan

Senior Researcher, The National Council for Women, Egypt

Rasha Hassan, PhD, is a sociologist and qualitative researcher with over 15 years of experience in research focusing on gender, poverty, development, and labor policies in the MENA region. She is a Senior Researcher at the National Council for Women, Egypt. Previously, Rasha joined The Standing Supreme Committee for Human Rights (SSCHR) as a senior researcher, and she also works as a senior researcher at the National Council for Women (NCW). Throughout her career, Rasha has served as a senior researcher and consultant in several national and international organizations, including the Population Council, GIZ, ERF, Red Sur, IDRC, USAID, The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion (Bassera),,,etc. Over the years, she has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals such as Health Promotion International and Global Social Welfare. Rasha has also made contributions to volumes on labor markets in the MENA region published by Oxford University Press, edited by Ragui Assaad and Caroline Krafft.
