Political Economy of Fiscal Policy and Decentralization in the Arab Countries

This project examines the overall government structure in the Arab countries, focusing specifically on the political, economic and demographic determinants of fiscal policy (expenditure and taxation) and decentralization. Based on data availability, the project will examine the case of 12 Arab countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
