Nguyen Viet Cuong is a researcher and lecturer in the Institute of Public Policy and Management at the National Economics University in Hanoi, Vietnam and currently conducts research in the Mekong Development Research Institute. Dr. Cuong received his PhD in Development Economics from Wageningen University, the Netherlands. His experience includes working in the fields of impact evaluation, poverty analysis, ethnic minority, education and health issues. Dr. Cuong has written on a number of topics including intra-generational intergenerational mobility in Vietnam, migration dynamics and remittances, spatial patterns of sanitation in rural Vietnam, and pensions and work dynamics in Egypt to name a few.
