Marwa is an urban researcher and development practitioner, with an MA in architecture. She is currently an MSc student at University College London’s Development Planning Unit. As a Research Associate at Takween, she focused on the issues of informality, poverty and public policies. Her experience includes working with the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, UNHCR and the Samer Soliman institution for political development, as well as different architectural firms in Kuwait and Egypt. Her current research is focuses on inequality, heterogeneity and intersectionality in urban contexts.
