Jay A. Bowman is a PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Geography, Environment and Society. His work focuses on urban governance, solid waste management and informal labor markets. He is currently working on his dissertation titled The Politics of Waste: Decentralization, Informality and Homegrown Neoliberalism in Jordan.
