Colette Salemi

Colette Salemi

Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota

Colette Salemi is a Ph.D. student and research assistant at the University of Minnesota. Salemi is a microeconomist focused on labor and economic activity in developing countries and is currently working on projects related to forced displacement and refugee policy as well. She earned her Master's Degree in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago in 2016. She also completed a Master's Degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the same institution in 2015. Salemi started her PhD at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs in 2016, and (effective September 2018) she will finish her degree as a doctoral student of the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota. She is trained in both quantitative and qualitative methods and is an advanced student of Arabic.
