Ahmet Atil Asici

Associate Professor of Economics, Istanbul Technical University

Ahmet Atıl Aşıcı received his B.S. degree in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1996, MA degree in Economics from Bosphorus University in 1999, and a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Geneva, Switzerland in 2007. While pursuing his Ph.D. studies, he worked as an economic officer at UNCTAD between 2005 and 2006. His current research concentrates on the green economic transformation. Aşıcı published extensively on the relationship between economic growth and environmental sustainability and subjective well-being in respected academic journals. Aşıcı has been working as an associate professor of economics at Istanbul Technical University, Management Engineering department since 2009, and is a 2020-2021 climate fellow at the IPC-Mercator program.
