Ahmed Elsayed

Senior Research Associate, IZA- Institute of Labor Economics in Bonn

Ahmed Elsayed is a Senior Research Associate at IZA and the Deputy Director of the IZA’s program area "Gender, Growth and Labour Markets in Low Income Countries" (G²LM | LIC) and the IZA network program area "Labor and Development”. He is also a Research Fellow at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA), Maastricht University. His main research interests are in development economics, applied micro-econometrics, migration, and labor economics. He is particularly interested in the intersection between research and policy in the area of development economics. Ahmed holds a PhD in Economics and MPhil in Business Research from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics, the Netherlands.
