Mustafa Ismihan

Professor of Economics, Department of Economics, Eastern Mediterranean University

Mustafa İsmihan is a Professor of Economics in the department of economics at Eastern Mediterranean University since 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2003. He has also worked in other universities, e.g. METU, and taught courses in economics and econometrics. He also conducted academic studies during 2001-2002 academic year and in the summer of 2006 as a visiting scholar in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at University of York, York, UK. He has published articles in prominent journals of economics and in edited books. His research interests include economic growth and development; globalization and regionalization; various macroeconomic issues in development (e.g. economic instability; the role of fiscal policy in economic development); consumption and investment behavior; co-trending and dual adjustment analysis; and new political economy.
