Howard Pack

Professor Emeritus of Business and Public Policy in the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

Howard Pack is Professor Emeritus of Business and Public Policy in the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received a Ph.d in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His recent research analyzes economic policies of developing countries, technology transfer, productivity growth, industrial development in successful Asian countries, African development, and the effects of foreign aid. He was on the faculty of Yale University and Swarthmore College and has been a visiting faculty member at the University of California at Berkeley and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Professor Pack has been on the editorial boards of the Journal of Development Economics, World Development, The World Bank Economic Review, and the World Bank Research Observer.
