The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on different aspects of economic development in the Middle East and North Africa, with a particular emphasis on economic policies in the region. The workshop is open to considering rigorous research from economists, historians and political scientists. Fresh PhDs and early career researchers are especially encouraged to apply.
The following sub-themes will be especially welcome in the Paris workshop:
Funding. It is hoped that most participants will be able to finance their travel and accommodation from their own institutions, but a small fund will be available to help those who cannot (particularly PhD students and young researchers). A list of suitable hotels will be circulated nearer the time.
